Who We Are

SCHNEITEC, while valuing all economic activities, sees the importance of energy especially clean energy in stainable economic and social development. Energy is the back bone of all industrial and economic activities whose growth requires the growth and expansion of the energy sector. SCHNEITEC engages itself in energy sector development since its inception. In 2015 SCHNEITEC began its planning on the first utilities scale project in Cambodia at a time when solar energy harvest was still almost just a notion and the solar technology was still at a rather immature state that it was almost unaffordable. By 2017, SCHNEITEC jointly developed and operated a 10MW solar farm.  Currently Schneitec has a total install capacity of 400MW and more are underway.

Schneitec business execution strategy is a slow but steady one. The team had spent a considerable amount of time understanding the solar technology, its application and hinderance. They also had spent a lot of time supporting international experts in the planning and execution of the project, which give them a chance to learn hand-on-knowledge and gain direct experience in building solar projects. Currently our in-house teams are in charge of the project design, procurement, construction and operation. How well can they do it? The answer is well enough that all of our projects nished not only on time but beforeschedule with quality and good safety records.

Schneitec philosophy of slow and steady growth can be found in our people strategy. Like major multi-national companies, Schneitec believes that human capital i.e the workforce is central to the company success. Schneitec focuses on growth through solid ground of home-grown work force. Our strategy is to recruit the right people – people who believe in renewable energy. Complementary to our recruitment strategy, we invests resources in training and developing our people to ensure that they are adequately equipped with the hard skills and soft skills to deliver as an individual performer, team player and a leader. With this focus on a home – grown workforce, SCHNEITEC has been Able to not only make it throw tough times, be it pandemic, trade wars or energy war, but emerged stronger.

SchneiTec grows out of a small team of like-minded electrical engineers graduating from Japan. The engineering mind set of precision means accuracy and precision of business planning and execution, and the small team allows for the speed with which decision are made, resulting in business growth. As SchneiTec grew to its current size of over 500 employees, SchneiTec still retain the attribute of precision, speed and accuracy. This is done through the requirement of internationally educated individuals of specific qualifications and work experience to be in charge of different aspects of the company. The Company Story

After graduating with a PhD in Electronics in 2011 from University of Electro-Communications in Japan, Dr. Heng Socheat formed a research and development (R&D) team to work on the design of power management chips or ICs (Integrated Circuit) for international companies such as SII in Japan.

The work led to his realization that energy holds an important role in economic development, and innovation in energy technology can ensure that the development is green, clean and sustainable, leading to the overall improvement of the quality of life of the people.

Up on his return to Cambodia, Dr. Heng Socheat, like most other Cambodians sent for education abroad, intended to put his education to a good use to for the development of his home country, Cambodia, which led him to establish an electrical engineering and consulting company in Cambodia to oer the rst national consultancy service on high voltage design using the principle of ecological energy solutions.

Over time, the company has grown in size and areas of expertise, expanding its presence in new industrial sectors, including engineering, manufacturing, construction, real estate, trading, energy and power infrastructure. The company has been researching, designing, constructing and operating utility-scale power projects in Cambodia. Currently, solar farm installed capacity of 400MW, 23MW of thermal power plant, approx. more than 500km of 115kV,230kV and 500kV transmission lines and ve substations, some of which are already in operation and other under construction.
